Mik_Island my Headset Display Settings are showing resolution best quality and frame rate 90 Hz.

Pretty disappointing HP! I have an Asus Crosshair VIII,  Ryzen 3900x, EVGA RTX 3090 and the headset does not work with either the USB C or any of the USB 3 slots. I also do not have a free slot to install a USB card so pretty much stuffed.

I have virtually the same setup except still running on a 2080 Ti (haven't lucked into a 30xx series yet.)  Same issue, though I can get it to partially work with the front case 3.0 ports (connected via cable to MB headers.)  It's intermittent and sound doesn't work, so it's not really usable.

However, it works perfectly out of the USB C port on the 2080 Ti.  Does the 3090 have one?

I just wanted to follow up for anyone following this thread. I posted earlier that using a USB hub resolved my problem, but over time I have continued to see issues. One day I saw very few issues (note: not glitch-free), but the following day I experienced several headset crashes and eventually just got a 7-7 error code from WMR which indicates a USB communication issue. It improved (headset started working again and less glitchy) only after I reseated the USB connector from the USB hub to my computer, but even then it has been problematic.

Later I will try using a different port on the computer, but I think I will need to order a USB card if I want to (hopefully) use this headset. Very frustrating as I have an overabundance of free ports on my computer, it seems wasteful to have to buy an accessory card like this... why can't it "just work"?

I have the "GIGABYTE X570 AORUS PRO Wi-Fi" with the 3700x processor and Gigabyte's 5700XT for graphics.

I have the same issue. Purchased a PCIe USB 3.0 hub through Amazon just now to see if it will work, but will take a few days to arrive. Will try to remember to update if the USB hub fixes it.

If I update, I'll also post what framerate I can get and how reliably the fix works.

Note: The headset initially worked, but without audio. When switching USB ports, (in attempt to fix audio) it would no longer connect.

I might make a new thread since this one has the "Solved" designation, and I'm worried HP quits looking at them once they are considered "Solved." If the fix only works to 60hz, or if it works sometimes to 90hz but fails intermittently, it shouldn't really be considered fully solved.

Arachnautic when you let us know how the new PCIe hub is working can you also provide details about the card? I haven't ordered one yet but it seems like a strong possibility.

HP Recommended

Sportflier. Yes, but when you say "the card," you mean the PCIe usb 3.0 expansion card? Or something else, like my particular graphics card?

HP Recommended

Arachnautic - yes I mean that I'm interested in knowing what PCIe usb 3.0 expansion card you got, and of course the outcome of using this card with the headset; if there are still obvious problems or if this smooths things over.

I don't know why I didn't link it in the first place. The card I ordered is this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W82SV3V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It arrives on Wednesday.

Also, there's another thread on the 7-14 error, where someone claims to have tried one of these: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07L32B9C2/
I guess plugged into a front USB 3.0 on their case leading to one of the motherboard USB 3.0 slots. Well, I'm realizing that I or one of my family members have one of these already. I'm going to try to figure out who has it, and if I can go borrow it to test. The link to that other thread is here: hp reverb g2 error 7-14 - Page 3 - HP Support Community - 7852871

It's not clear to me that whether they had success with the ANKER hub or not, but I will try to test both.
