For all who are still having problems getting the VR started with the Nvidia 3090Ti, here’s the solution:
Do not count on the HP support. They are sending you cables and Headsets and you won’t get any solution out of this.
Check with Nvidia Support. They will gladly help and will offer you a solution which just rolled out since middle of September 2022.
With the new cable-system Windows Mixed Reality will find your Reverb and you are finally able to play.
This said, it will be my last HP purchase for the poor support but all the thanks goes to Nvidia Customer Support.

As someone who is also having problems getting the device to work and is looking for solutions, I wonder what you are trying to tell us? How did NVIDIA support help you by rolling out what? And what cable system are you talking about?
Even if HP support is ***bleep***, it would be really nice if you could help others because you obviously found a solution. Thanks!

Well, thanks for your reply. Imho the solution is included in the post. But here I try to make things more clearly:
1. Contact the Nvidia Customer Support preferably by chat and tell them about your situation with your 3090Ti and the Reverb V2
2. Follow the Instructions as they are as follows:
a) you receive a code
b) write the code on white paper
c) make a picture of the card with the s/n visible
d) repeat with paper next to it
e) scan your receipt from where you got the card
f) send it to the mailaddress you received including your home address
3. Wait till your package arrives
Reply if there is still sth. unclear
Best regards

Thank you very much for the quick and detailed answer! I actually have one more question : the package that you got from Nvidia then included a new cable system (as you mentioned above) for the Reverb that works? Maybe I'm a little silly today, but that's how I understood it.
Thanks!

I have done all this and recently received the dp repeater and the cable. Unfortunately while the headset is now being recognized by windows again, I keep getting the error code 1-4 in Windows Mixed Reality Portal. So it is a solution to the headset not getting enough power - but it still doesn't work.
I did a clean driver install, I uninstalled the mixed reality portal, I deleted the Reverb... nothing, still the same error.

Hello Ysub,
have you checked the following:
The DP Repeater has to be plugged in den not the USB-Port to be powered.
The DP Repeater has to be used in the right direction.
The short DP cable comes into the DP Port of the card. The end has to be plugged into the Input Port of the Repeater. The VR Cable must be plugged into the Output Port of the DP Repeater.
I hope this will help.

Yeah I checked multiple times if everything is correct. I got it to work twice, but only for a few minutes. Without changing anything, the 1-4 error in the mixed reality app came back. I now ordered another repeater (same model) on Amazon (I got the other one from Nvidia), maybe something isn't right with it.

I myself have a repeater that works totally fine with Oculus but won’t work with the Reverb. So I suggest you check with the Nvidia Support again and try to get the Repeater and maybe the cable either exchanged.
