HP Reverb G2
Microsoft Windows 11

I have been trying to reinstall my HP Reverb G2 on my Windows 11 machine for a few hours today, and have read a few articles that state it won't work on my current version of Windows 11 (25H2) because Microsoft removed the mixed mode reality stuff from the OS. I don't particularly want to roll back security or other features back to an earlier version of windows, and also don't want to have a dual boot just to play the games I use VR for (Halflife Alyx and MS 2020).

What options are available to me?

How do I fix this?

When will HP release a patch to enable the headset again?

Why are HP still selling this headset on their store, given that it doesn't work on Windows 11 any more and Windows 10 is no longer supported?

Have a look at the Oasis driver for Steam. It's free. HP should pay the author for this.

I had the same issue. I installed the Oasis driver and my headset now works with my sim-racing and flight sim games. However, the HP Reverb G2 handheld controllers still do not work. I have 3 games that I can no longer play due to this controller issue. When I first bought the VR headset, there was software included called Mixed Reality Portal that was used to setup the VR headset and the controllers.  This software however does not work with my Windows 11 25H2 so my handheld controllers do not work.

It's bad enough that HP does not provide a headset driver that is compatible with Windows 11. I had to go searching for the Oasis driver.  That is inexcusable.  Now I am stumped trying to find a work around for getting the handheld controllers to work.

NOT IMPRESSED HP!
