Hi @Rizbajwa,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

Your HP GK100 gaming keyboard’s Backspace key behaving abnormally is usually caused either by a hardware fault in the key switch/stabilizer or by Windows settings/drivers interfering with repeat behavior. The fix depends on whether the issue is physical (the key feels wrong) or software (the key only deletes once, not continuously).

Press several times and compare the feel with nearby keys.

If it feels loose or sticky or doesn’t click properly, the stabilizer bar or switch may be damaged.

Clean the key area

Disconnect keyboard > use compressed air or a soft brush.

If removable, gently lift the keycap and reseat it.

Connect GK100 to another PC

If the issue persists, it’s hardware.

If it works fine, the problem is Windows/macOS settings.

I hope this helps

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,
