I've encountered an issue where my new PC won't wake from sleep. It twice has happened when I let it sleep overnight and it wouldn't response either to keyboard or pressing the power button. Two days ago I needed to force reboot it by holding the power button. Yesterday it wouldn't even turn off by holding the power button for 10 seconds. The case lighting was still on and fans were spinning. The power button being non-responsive indicates to me that it must be a motherboard issue. After pulling the plug (oof, I know) it booted fine with a push of the power button.
My first thought was to check if there is a new BIOS. I am currently on BIOS F.05 according to HP Support Assistant. System board = 8876, aka Hana. I found the support page for the board but no BIOS file to be found. https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07052271
Contacting HP support isn't loading for me after I select the product, I'll try to figure that out later.
1) Where are BIOS update files for this motherboard? Under the assumption that there is a new version and it's the obvious thing to try first.
2) Any idea what might cause my PC to not wake from sleep and even make the power button non-responsive? The only things I can think of are BIOS issue, or problem with the RAM I added. Two sticks of Crucial DDR4-3200 in slots 1 and 2 which have slightly different timings than the Kingston stick that came with the PC (I moved that one to slot 3) but I'd think should play ok together regardless

Follow-up for if anyone with similar problem stumbles on this post.
I was able to follow up with support, who was able to verify that I did have the most recent BIOS, as this PC is very new. It sounds like it is not yet in the website software update system, which certainly explain why I struggled to find it. The agent also said that the HP Support Assistant app will handle BIOS updates (which is new to me, as I have not owned an HP desktop before). While on the call we went through the BIOS recovery sequence (I found an explanation here https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3932413-2337994-16) but I never got the BIOS recovery screen, which possibly means that my board doesn't support that feature.
For now I'm going to just continue using my PC for a while and see if the issue occurs again (it hasn't yet), and install new updates when they eventually come out. Maybe the power drain and resetting the CMOS could have helped here, or maybe it was just a passing gremlin that won't show up again.

What is your OMEN 25L Desktop GT12-1xxx ? Normally BIOS and software drivers are under homepage of the machine, not on motherboard page.
For example
https://support.hp.com/my-en/drivers/selfservice/omen-25l-desktop-pc-gt12-1000i/2100404876
Regards.

Hi BH,
My order confirmation says OMEN by HP 25L Gaming Desktop PC GT12-1340m, wasn't sure what product that matched from the list I found. The 1xxxx was from the support app.
When I looked at 1000i and other products the board ID didn't look to match what I saw for my PC so I assumed I was on the wrong page, but if there is a way to check compatible board for the BIOS versions on those pages and they match mine that would solve my problem.
Thanks!
