Hey!
I recently purchased a Ryzen 7 5800x
I currently have a Ryzen 5 5600g
When I put the new CPU in my system, the fans and everything come on. but nothing projects on my screen.
Any and all help would be appreciated!

Your desktop has an HP Erica6 (8906) motherboard.
According to HP, here are the CPU upgrade options:
Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07094657
From these specs, it appears that the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G (3.8 GHz base clock, 4.6 GHz max boost clock, TDP 65 watt) is the fastest processor your motherboard can handle.
And indeed, a wider search -such as here: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Pavilion-Desktop-TP01-2xxx/234647 also strongly suggests that the Ryzen 7 5700 G is the fastest CPU your Erica6 8906 motherboard on an HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a can handle. [NOTE: the Intel Core i7-11700F listed on UserBenchMark [dot] com for Pavilion PC TP01-2xxx uses a different motherboard than yours, the HP Stark (8860). ]

actually yes and no
what is indicated is only what has been tested and validated by hp
Sometimes another processor may work
the problem here is simple the tdp
original only up to 65W
excluding the tested processor

Why would you? The Ryzen 7 5800X is only marginally faster/better (5%) than a Ryzen 7 5700G and only 8.5% faster than your Ryzen 5 5600G...
The limiting (gaming) factors for your rig are primarily your GPU, RAM and your primary (boot) drive -SSD or NVMe M.2 SSD.

I understand. As I already hinted in my first response ("TDP 65 watt"), HP is known to limit motherboard processor TDP compatibility. Yip -ran into that issue more than once myself, including occasions just like you after I bought a processor I assumed would/should work.
Look, there may be a motherboard that would fit in your HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-2000a AND is compatible with your AMD Ryzen7 5800X, but I have not been able to find one.
Since this is a User-to/for-User Forum, perhaps somebody could help you.
Good luck!

Sorry, seems like a risk to me, for not much
You may be able to find a non-HP motherboard, but not say that you can install it without problem in the HP case!
Otherwise, at HP, you have this motherboard
Processor upgrade information
TDP: Up to 105 W
Socket type: AM4
Hana motherboard supports the following processor upgrades
ProcessorTDPAMD Ryzen 5 5600G (Cezanne) 3.9 GHz base clock, up to 4.4 GHz max boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, 6 cores
65 W
AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (Vermeer) 3.7 GHz base clock, up to 4.6 GHz max boost clock, 32 MB L3 cache, 6 cores
105 W
AMD Ryzen 7 5700G (Cezanne) 3.8 GHz base clock, up to 4.6 GHz max boost clock, 16 MB L3 cache, 8 cores
65 W
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (Vermeer) 3.8 GHz base clock, up to 4.7 GHz max boost clock, 32 MB L3 cache, 8 cores
105 W
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (Vermeer) 3.7 GHz base clock, up to 4.8 GHz max boost clock, 64 MB L3 cache, 12 cores
105 W
but at what price, can it be installed, in this box, difficult to confirm
HP name: Hana
Form Factor
Micro ATX, channel board exchangeable
Dimensions: 24.0 x 24.0 cm (9.45 x 9.45 in)
HP name: Erica6
Customized: 29.09 x 20.3 cm (11.45 x 7.99 in)
You must either resell this processor, or try to find concrete examples on the net, because here you may wait a long time for an answer!
Either you separate from this box, find a box compatible with many models of motherboards, and which will be easier to upgrade, with a motherboard, not hp, not limited!
shame, not to have sought advice before this purchase @Zachmor
