The fans on my OEM HP RTX 3060 Ti are noisy. I can acquire the correct replacements. What I can't figure out is how to remove the shroud the covers the fans. I can find videos of other mfgs 3060 cards, but the HP cards seem to have a different construction. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Martin

@MNA_QC, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding loud fan noise!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Before replacing the fans on your OEM HP RTX 3060 Ti, try these troubleshooting steps to reduce fan noise:
1. Check for Dust and Debris
- Power off the system and unplug it.
- Use compressed air to clean the GPU fans and heatsink.
- Ensure the case and surrounding components are also dust-free.
2. Adjust Fan Curves in Software
- Use OMEN Gaming Hub or third-party software like MSI Afterburner.
- Lower fan speeds at idle and adjust curves to reduce unnecessary noise.
3. Check for Loose Screws or Mounting Issues
- Ensure the GPU is properly seated in the PCIe slot.
- Check if the fan assembly is securely attached to the heatsink.
4. Monitor GPU Temperature
- If temperatures are high (above 80°C), the fans may be running at high speed to compensate.
- Improve airflow by adjusting case fan positioning or removing obstructions.
5. Update Drivers and Firmware
- Update GPU drivers via NVIDIA GeForce Experience or HP Support Assistant.
- Check for BIOS or firmware updates that may affect fan control.
6. Try a Different Power Plan
- Open Windows Power Options → Select Balanced or Power Saver mode.
- High-performance mode may cause the GPU to run hotter and increase fan speeds.
If the noise persists and the fans are indeed faulty, then replacing them is a reasonable next step.
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Hey, I get it those OEM HP RTX 3060 Ti fans can be tricky. HP's design is a bit different from other manufacturers, so finding a guide can be tough. Usually, the shroud is held by hidden screws on the backplate or under stickers. If you can share a few pictures, I might be able to guide you better. Let me know!"

Here are some pictures. I took out the four corner screws on the back side but they do not release the shroud. No stickers or hidden screws on the shroud side that I could see. Appears to me that the shroud is secured to the head sinks and the screw heads - while visible - are not easily accessible. I don't have a right-angle screw driver small enough to try to take these out.
I don't have a picture but I did remove the screws holding the fans in place to look for any screws that might be hidden underneath but I did not see any.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
