Hi:

See the troubleshooting guide at the link below for how to troubleshoot the beep code you are getting...3 long and 3 short...

Seems like there is a problem with the graphics adapter.

Hello Thank you for your response what do you mean by the graphics adapter?

Thanks

You're very welcome.

According to the product specs for your PC, it seems like there is something wrong with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 graphics adapter your PC comes with as far as the beep code error is concerned.

I'd say that a recommended first step to troubleshoot the problem would be to remove the Nvidia graphics card, plug your monitor into the onboard Intel graphics out port and see if the PC works again.

If it does, you can run it like that, or you will have to replace the Nividia graphics card with a new one.

I couldn't find one that was just one complete video.

Hello thanks again for your response and help where exactly would the on board graphics port be?

Thanks

You're very welcome.

The port may be covered with a plastic cover since your PC came with a NVidia graphics card, so that prevents folks from plugging the monitor in the wrong display output since the onboard graphics adapter is disabled when a graphics card is installed.

But I don't see from the motherboard specs, any mention of an onboard graphics adapter output port such as HDMI, VGA, etc.

So, unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to answer that question for you.

You may just have to replace the graphics card if there isn't any onboard graphics port to plug a monitor into.

Hi thanks again for your help I have noticed that my PSU fan is not working could this be the reason why I am having this issue?

HP Recommended

Unfortunately, that I do not know since the code is for the graphics card, but if the power supply is not working correctly (beyond the fan not spinning), yes that could be the cause because the graphics card may not be getting enough power to start and the PC beeps, reporting a graphics card error.

I fixed the booting problem, by wiggling connectors and memory sticks.   The first time I tried that it didn't work, but the second attempt did.
