Hi @Floriano1

I suggest you have a local PC Tech familiar with this process do this for you.

Provide the HP F.55 BIOS version with your PC.

Hi @Floriano1

Sorry about that, didn't know you were a PC Tech.

I ran a test on an MSI MB using the F.55 BIOS, sp141607.exe.  Extracted this file to a folder with 7Zip. The extracted file is 08433F55.exe. I looked at the contents in this file using 7zip. The contents revealed two files: the HP WINGUI64 update executable and an undefined file which I thought must be the .bin file.

I was able to open the file using Notepad. This showed an encrypted file having an AMI header so it appears this was the .bin file.

So I used the 08433F55.exe file, as is, with the Aptio V AMI Firmware Update Utility on a Hiren's Boot USB. Aptio read the file and was ready to flash the BIOS while running within Hiren. I did not proceed because this would have messed up the MSI MB.

The BIOS can be flashed without having the isolated .bin file.

Hello. Can you send me the bin file.

I am unable to get it with my Dell desktop.

@Floriano1. It’s not a problem of me unable to do this process. I just do not have correct bin file. The only one I can fine on the Hp website is for a diff other board. Mine is 8433 and the only firmware  for that mother board is the f.57 the other is for 8435.

Cool.
I was asking for the bin file for my own machine
My board is 8433 and I can't seem to use the .exe file since it does not open on my dell desktop.

Hi

You don't need the standalone BIOS .bin file to roll back the BIOS when using the Aptio V AMI Firmware Update Utility.

If the Bing file is not needed, how do you go about rolling it back?

HI @Fernanva3

The instructions to roll back the BIOS are at the beginning of this thread.

I have tested instructions on a non HP PC. They work.

The Aptio V AMI Firmware Update Utility will see the .bin file contained within 08433f55.exe. You have to extract sp141607.exe to obtain 08433f55.exe. I used 7Zip .

08433f55.exe must be copied to the Hiren's boot media. It is wise to put the file in the Hiren's boot media directory containing the Aptio utility.

Have a local PC tech do this if you cannot make it happen.

If I am reading this correctly, it sounds that I can place the 08433f55.exe file into the AfuWin64 on the Hirens flash drive.

Previously Pcgraphix posted a how-to which said that:
"-So I downloaded the latest version offered which was F.55 Rev A for 8433 which is file sp141607.exe
-Double click on sp141607.exe and allow it to install in the default location provided
-This will launch the HP BIOS Update and Recovery program
-Choose the "Copy" option and choose a temporary folder to save the BIOS to (again doesn't matter where you save it to as we will copy what we need from that folder)
-Open that folder and you will see 2 files.
-Simply copy the bin file (08433.bin in my case) and paste it to your Hirens Flash Drive in the folder same folder that we just pasted called "AfuWin64". We don't need the sig file. "

Are you saying we can put the whole .exe file into the folder instead of just the .bin file?
I have a Dell 7070 and it won't run the HP BIOS Update and Recovery tool. Therefore, I cannot get the .bin file.
I am sure other people have this problem and that is why people are asking for the "08433.bin"  file.
If it makes any difference, I am also a "PC tech" much like "Floriano1

Thanks
