@jack240 , welcome back to the Community.

What is the Product Number of the computer? I need this information to review the specifications of it. Please don't furnish the Serial # or other personal information. You can find the Product Number at the bottom of the page when you open HP Support Assistant.  There are numerous models is this series.

Thank you for the additional information, @jack240

Is this the model of your computer?

GT12-0064

If not, what is the actual model?  The Product Number list it, but shows a 8304 motherboard.

Jack240, the documentation I just looked at shows that your PC has a 500 watt PSU.  Without upgrading to an internal or external 650/750 watt PSU -assuming for a moment that this is even doable, it appears that the best graphics card your system will handle power-wise is the RTX 3060-Ti.  However, [disclaimer] as with any online suggestions, you want to verify this for yourself.

Anyway, the 3060-Ti option should boost your gaming performance from an average RTX 2060 GPU bench score of 88.6% to a whopping 131%. Not bad.  Actually, not bad at all -see link.

But as many of my peers have commented on, this is not exactly the right time to spend ob$cene pricing for high-end GPUs.

Good luck!
