Hello!
I am looking to upgrade my graphics card on my HP Envy 700-410xt to be able to play modern games with high settings. I am looking for advice as I know almost nothing about PC hardware. I have not done any hardware changes on my desktop yet. I believe it has:
My desktop has a GeForce GTX 745.
Motherboard: Pegatron Memphis-B
PCU: I believe it is only a 300 Watt (Model number is DPS 300AB-73 A, Part number: 667893-003, Spares P/N: 715185-001). 13.3 x 11.4 x 7.6 inches
Wondering if it possible possible to upgrade to a GeForce 1070 or 1060 and what PSU would be recommended. Would I need to purchase another case or motherboard to upgrade?
Also looking into good cost-efficient SSD's and RAM to purchase although I have not done any research for it yet but advice is greatly appreciated.

The original PSU does not have enough capacity nor PCIe power connectors.
You will need a PSU that is modular, so there won't be extra connectors hanging about in the case.

Your desktop PC does have a UEFI BIOS, so a GTX 1070 or 1060 would work.
