OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop PC GT16-0000i (9X6A4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Good evening everyone;
For about a month now, the fans rgb I normally use as a wave effect have been stuck on a single color. They weren't responding to any changes I made in the Omen Gaming Hub. Today, I uninstalled and reinstalled the Omen Gaming Hub, but this time it's not detecting the LEDs and is showing an error in the lighting section of the Omen Gaming Hub. I tried repairing it via the Windows App, uninstalled and reinstalled it again, but nothing has changed. The fans only respond to Windows Dynamic Lightning.

If anyone can give me advice I appriciate. Screenshot 2025-08-31 221812.jpg

Greetings @SenolSahin

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Is your PC in warranty?

Have you checked the connections to the lighting controller board (LCB)?

The (LCB) is located on the back side of the MB tray.

Remove the right side access panel adjacent to the MB to check connections.

The LCB also connects to the MB. Check this connection.

Check the 35L Hardware Reference Guide for the: controller board and MB header locations.

The PC might have a faulty LCB. Contact HP Support if you believe the LCB has failed.

Hello @Bill_To

Yes my PC still in warranty. I checked LCB and everything is working. The only problem fans rgb not resopnding to Omen Gaming Board. I can change colors from Windows Dynamic Lightning.  1 Month ago everything was fine I think after some update I start to have software problems  but I cannot find where....

Is it possible to buy new LCB for my computer or is there any other compatible with my computer ?

It would be good if you knew what update was involved.

You could try uninstalling this update. Or try a Windows system recovery to a point prior to the problematic update.

It sounds like a bad update and not hardware if the problem started immediately after an update.

Your PC's part list can be reviewed at HP Part Surfer. I used 9X6A4AV to find your PC's part list.

Part number P07106-001 listed under "PC Board (Interface)" seems to be the (LCB). You can't buy this part at HP Part Surfer.

This part is available at eBay.

Swapping in a different component may not fix the problem if an update caused the issue.

BTW, the LCB has six RGB headers and six PWM fan headers. Have you tried connecting the misbehaving fans to different RGB headers? You would probably want to turn off Dynamic Lighting when trying the fans using different RGB headers.

Hello again

Yes I tried everything , I also download and buy SignalRGB program but again didnt recognise fans rgb. Changed headers of fans..... Still cant solve. At the moment the only thing can see fan rgb is windows dynamic lighting.  I am out of ideas 🙂 If it was LCB problem i think windows dynamic lighting also wouldnt be able to sync with fan rgb.

Greetings @SenolSahin

Sorry to see you are having a problem talking to someone at HP.

I wish I could help but I don't work for HP.

Since Windows Dynamic Lighting can talk to the fans it sounds like an LCB problem or a problem with Omen Gaming Hub.

I'm pretty sure a HP Support Tech, if you get a hold of one, will, at some point, probably have you back up data. And the HP Tech will tell you to reinstall Windows since you have already reinstalled Omen Gaming Hub.

Did you ever try the Windows System Recovery option? You had mentioned in a prior response in this thread you thought the problem started after a Windows update.

Back up data. Try a Windows in-place upgrade. Check: Settings> System>Recovery.

Then select: "Fix problems using Windows Update".

Update : I order and replaced LCB with new one and problem still continue. At this point I am sure its not hardware problem and this cost me a bit more then 100€ 🙂 Someone in forum confirm that KB5065426 update is the problem and seems like many other having same issue as i have. I like to keep my pc up to date so basicly i will cross fingers and want for another update to fix this problem.

Very sorry to see you purchased a new LCB and are having the same problem.

I did suggest doing a system recovery or a new Windows installation to see how it goes in a prior response:
