What was the outcome with this issue?  I had this happen to me right out of the box.  Support recommends I return the computer.  What a buzz kill. Hope you made out okay..?

I wasn’t able to resolve it.  I can work around by temporarily adjusting screen resolution but it is far from ideal.  I’m hoping an omen command centre update ultimately fixes this.  In the meantime it is very annoying but not annoying enough to return my pc and start from scratch.  I also have no confidence another pc will be any different - it seems an app issue when used with an ultra wide monitor.
