HP Tg01-1022 GTX 1650 Super only seems to register having 2.83 GB of VRAM when it should have 4GB.

No I've played modern warfare 1 on the low preset and seems to work fine but if I go to medium it says I'm over the vram limit but since I'm supposed to have 4 gb I shouldn't be going over. I'll try it tomorrow and see if it works. I plan on building a PC later on and have built one before so I look forward to that. I also recently played spiderman miles morales on medium settings and it looked okay. Stuttered alittle but was playable. I was just confused on why some games and apps only show the GPU as having 2.83 gb instead of the 4gb and gpuz shows I have 4gb so I'm just trying to figure out if it's a glitch or do I need to change a setting to utilize the GPU to it's full potential. I will update my graphics driver tomorrow I just haven't got the latest update because some people said it was broken. Yeah hopefully it's not a defective graphics card because I got the PC on Amazon and not sure how I would get a replacement graphics card.

Yes I will give an update tomorrow to see if the graphics driver update helps. Just not sure what else could be going on with it. If it was just Modern warfare I would say it's a glitch but its showed the 2.83 gb on two applications.

in any case, your configuration would not allow you to play under certain parameters
graphics card, memory, processor if original!

So with the specs I have currently it wont let me use the 4gb of vram? I plan on upgrading the ram to 32gb because the 8gb that came with it is trash. On startup with only background apps like antivirus it use 59%+ of the memory, it's awful. In the future I'm just going to build a PC I have before but dont have it anymore.

So I did the Vram fix and it did help. Changed the Video memory scaling to 1.0 and it increased the VRAM Max on COD I could probably Increase it more though. Still not sure why another application only sees the 2.83 GB but it worked for COD. Thanks.

not exactly what I meant, but if you don't have the required configuration, increasing the video settings may make the game completely impractical
