Product: OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-0000i (236B0AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I just received my new monolith of a PC - an Omen GT13_0000i.

 

It states in most of the marketing that it can utilise Intel Optane, but it appears that this wasn't enabled by default.

 

I've read on the HP site and others that I should be looking out for something like 'Configure Storage Controller for Intel Optane' or 'Intel RST with Optane' in the bios but the Omen bios seems quite restricted so wasn't sure if there was a more advanced view or if there's a specific setup on the Omens for Optane.

Hi, Mark:

 

Intel Optane may be an option on your PC's model series, and does not come with every product number.

 

I cannot find any specs on the drive.

 

Some M.2 NVMe SSD's are NVMe only and some are a combination NVMe SSD+Intel Optane.

 

If the SSD is one of those with Intel Optane, it should have been enabled at the factory.

 

In any event, here is a document which explains how to enable/Disable Intel Optane...last two sections...
