Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am planning to upgrade my HP Pavilion 590-p0044 processor from a Ryzen 5 2400G to a Ryzen 5 5600G. An upgrade is needed before I can download Windows11. Is this new device going to be compatible? Any advice you could provide would be appreciated!! Thanks.

Hi:

 

Your PC only supports the processors listed under the processor upgrade specs.

 

HP Pavilion 590-p0044 Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

 

The AMD Ryzen7-2700 (Pinnacle Ridge) is a supported W11 processor.

 

Does your PC have a TPM 2.0 security device?

 

If not, it still wouldn't be supported for W11.

 

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11.
