Hello, I have opened the very basic bios provided with the Omen but do not seem to see anywhere where I can set a fan curve or anything of the sort. I mainly game on my machine and the current fan speed for both CPU and GPU are  not sutting it. I have been trying to just use Afterburner, but some games do not allow that to be running. As such I was wondering if there was a way to access a more professional BIOS so I can customize the fan curve. If this is not a thing, I would really like HP to add it. Their cooling already sucks without a powerful enough fan curve. I want to upgrade to a better AIO, but I really don't want to if I will still have the same bad fan curve.

To answer you specifically, there is no advanced bios that can be accessed in your Omen to adjust a fan curve.

I doubt your model ever will. If HP does make a change like that, it will most likely be implemented on the next version of the Omen models. I know of no plans at the moment to do this either.

 Never said it was. The entire post was asking about setting a fan curve in the Bios or finding how how to get a more advanced Bios of the Omen rig. The only time I mentioned an AIO was at the end when I said I didn't want to upgrade my AIO until I can change the fan curve....

Reading further into your past posts and your query about changing the case to be able to add a bigger AIO...

Yes you could technically transfer the mobo. The I/O shield is removable and the mobo is MicroATX so you would need a case that will accommodate MicroATX standoffs. Most full ATX cases will.

 

The back plate for the AIO is an issue that I have seen various arguments over. One person claims a corsair H60 will fit. Another claims it wont. You can remove the current back plate thats probably glued on with a razor knife and install whatever needed.

 

BUT considering your need for a more advanced bios... if this is what you really want, you would be better off replacing the mobo with a brand name board. Then you will have access to overclocking CPU, memory, fan curves, etc etc.  But I don't think you will be able to transfer the RBG lighting setup to the new case and board.

Its just a thought.

Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking. Ill probably go with the XI Hero and pull all the usable parts out of this PC and build a new one and either give away the mobo, case, aio, or try to sell it on ebay. Thanks for the help.

I would think those parts would sell easily on eBay as there is always someone needing those parts. HP doesnt resell the motherboards.
