Hi @defs_ethan

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you enter the correct password but receive an "incorrect password" message. I would request that you please follow the steps below:

Check Keyboard Input.

  • Make sure Caps Lock is off.
  • Try typing the password into the password field's "show password" option (if available) to verify what is being entered.
  • If you use a PIN normally, select Sign-in options and try your Microsoft account password instead (or vice versa).
  • If an external keyboard is available, test with it to rule out a keyboard issue.

Verify Microsoft Account Password.

  • Use another device to log into your Microsoft account.
  • If it works there, reset the password and try again on your laptop.

Test Safe Mode Login.

  • Restart → Hold Shift → Select Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Settings → Safe Mode.
  • Try logging in with your password there.

Take care and have an amazing day!
