My CPU temp at idle is 60c and when I play games it goes up to 71-74c is that ok. Earlier today My PC was steaming hot because I have playing a game game for a long time. My GPU was also very hot for some strange reason it was at 78c.Can I replace the stock cooler on my Ryzen 5 3500?

My specs are:
Ryzen 5 3500
1660 TI
16gb ram 3200mhz

Yes you can replace it, just keep in mind that HP are using a mounting holes that are matching Intel sockets and not an AMD ones, I use several different aftermarket heatsinks and fans with the Intel retention . On my last mod I used a $15 Snowman heatsink, that is doing an outstanding job, much better compared to the stock cooling solution.

I had to clean the fans now I should be ok
