Product: HP omen 870-224
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was wondering if I could upgrade my motherboard in my 870-224? If so what motherboards would work for a amd processor?

@CoryVolkman1 , welcome to the forum.

 

The problem that you will have is, HP has their motherboards made to their specifications.  Therefore, they don't necessarily have the same connectors as a retail board; especially for the case, such as, for the power button.  Also, if you change the motherboard to one that supports an AMD processor the HP Recovery media won't work.  You will have to buy a full version of Windows 10.
