From the other fixes I have seen the main one was editing in the BIOS, my only problem is that I can't because my BIOS doesn't show the same settings. Any fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @derperlol76

The Product Specs show 8 GB of RAM. So you have two 4 GB memory modules.

The specs also show either integrated 2400G graphics or a GTX 1050.

Do you have a 1050? If no, the 2400G integrated graphics is using system RAM.

I don't know why you have reserved system RAM if you have a 1050. This may be an AMD thing even if you have a discrete graphics card. I have an Intel MB. No reserved system RAM when using a discrete graphics card.

Maybe a different Forum member can provide a method to recover the system RAM if you have a 1050.

You can upgrade RAM to larger modules if you need more RAM.

Hi @derperlol76

I have seen this RAM problem before on some AMD MBs even when a discrete graphics card is installed. Did not see a fix for this.

Maybe a different Forum member has a solution.

Or upgrade RAM if your PC is sluggish.

My PC isn't appearing sluggish I would just like to unlock the potential that it has.

Hi @derperlol76

Have been thinking about your RAM problem.

I also have, in addition to an Intel MB, a MSI B550 MB running a 5900X CPU (no integrated graphics) and an Nvidia 2080 graphics card.  All system RAM is available.

So it may be possible the reserved RAM issue automatically happens when you have an AMD  "G" CPU.

And HP may not providing a BIOS setting to tweak video memory when a discrete graphics card is installed or AMD BIOS/chipset firmware causes this problem. Thus AMD's AGESA firmware may be the limiting factor.

Have you checked every BIOS Menu and all configurable BIOS options for this setting?

Sorry for the late reply, I have looked around the BIOS and have found nothing. Down below is a link to the photo so you can see for yourself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @derperlol76

So @RodrigoB removed your link.

I can't assist.

I think your problem is a AMD: MB/Chipset problem.

Is there any other place you could direct me to that might be able to help?

Hi @derperlol76

Your PC is out of warranty; you can contact HP.

Or contact AMD.

Try different Forums, try an AMD Forum.
