I see that is has a nvme slot on the motherboard. However it looks like there is already a card in it, and it is the size of a small SD card like that you use for a camera. It doesn't look like a bigger card would fit, or am I wrong?

@Unorthad0x, welcome to the forum.

 

Here is the Motherboard Specifications page for the computer.  If you look closely at the labled Motherboard diagram, it shows two M.2 sockets on the lower left facing side.  I believe that the one you mentioned is for a WLAN module (It appears to be smaller.) and there is one slightly above it for a M.2 SSD (It is larger, most likely 2280.).

Yeah i think that might be right, it looks like theres one tucked directly under the video card
