Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with OMEN Gaming Hub where a small window remains persistently fixed on my second monitor and won't close normally.

Issue details:

  • A small OMEN Gaming Hub window stays visible on my second screen at all times
  • The window only closes if I completely terminate the OMEN Gaming Hub application
  • It reappears as soon as I reopen OMEN Gaming Hub
  • I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, but the issue persists

I've tried:

  • Checking for app settings to disable this floating window
  • Using Task Manager to close the application
  • Uninstalling and reinstalling OMEN Gaming Hub

Has anyone else encountered this problem or know how to fix it? I'd like to use OMEN Gaming Hub without having this persistent window stuck on my screen.

Thanks in advance for any help!

This may cause other problems, but what I did was:

<cntl alt del>

brings up the task manager

at the top in the box "Type a name, publisher, or PID to search"

enter <OMEN>

You should see

    OMEN Gaming Hub

        OMEN Command Center

I highlighted "OMEN Command Center"

Then I right clicked and selected "End task"

Of course, this operation closing the application also closes the window. But the problem is that while I'm playing I would like to keep OMEN Gaming Hub open to have all the benefits of the software, but I wouldn't want to have that unwanted window on the screen.

I have the same problem as of today. I do not game, but use my Omen Laptop for CAD work and image generation. I can "end task" to shut the gaming hub down, but then it will not move into performance mode when working on images. When I start the gaming hub back up, the little blank gaming hub window is pinned to the top, will not move or resize, and covers up some of my software UI. Frustrating.

This is what mine looks like. You can see that it overlays every window. I found that if you close the highlighted program "OMEN Command Center Background," the window closes and the rest of the program runs normally. That said, you shouldn't have to manually end the task every time you open the app. Has anyone had any luck on a permanent solution?

I've never used OMEN and now it is showing up in the bottom corner of my screen since my computer updated yesterday.  I need to see that corner of my screen.  Is there a way to remove it?

Sysinternals Process monitor will let you close just the window task. Every time you have the app active...Otherwise, wait that the f...ing stagist in charge of SW developing at HP will fix the bug.

After I did a Windows update and reboot, I have the same problem.

"OMEN Gaming Hub" shows up as an empty window.  Title with no content.

The window cannot be closed, moved, … nothing

Process Explorer shows

  PID:  2880

  Parent:  <non-existent Process> (9788)

  Process:  OmenCommand Center Background.exe

  windows title:  [OverlayNotification]CustomNotification

  Autostart:  <blank>

The process executable file creating date is just a couple days ago.

This is a new bug, probably in the notification feature.

HP needs to fix ASAP.
