Product: omen 25l

I bought an omen 25L pc and i’m trying to setup 2 monitors but it has only one hdmi port. I got a DP to HDMI port but when i connected the second monitor, it says “check your video card”, or it turns on? but its black. I can also move my mouse around the black screen. It said hdmi detected but VGA isn’t detected

What is the model/product of your Omen 25l  ? For example

I can't find 25-GT21-0179, ONLY 40L-GT21-0179

which shows it has NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 SUPER™ (6 GB GDDR6 dedicated) therefore ALL video ports on its motherboard are disable.

 

Integrated graphics

  • Intel UHD Graphics
note:
Integrated video is not available if a graphics card is installed.

It is an HP 40L. The specs does not show its available ports. It uses NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card which has standard HDMI 3x DisplayPort that means the DP to HDMI should work .

 

Please try a different cable
