Product: HP Desktop PC - 870-224
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am looking to upgrade my CPU cooler for my Omen Desktop. I recently bought the ID-COOLING SE-224 XT, however upon trying to install it, I realized that the screws where too big to fit into the screw holes for the bracket. Any help with finding a cooler that will fit the screw holes would be greatly appreciated! The motherboard is an Odense 2k.

I dont know on the 870 as they were proprietary.

 

Pretty much when you want to change to a different cooler, you will have to bite the bullet and change the back plate also.

On your HP, you will have to pull the motherboard to do it. Those back-plates are usually glued on, so you will have to carefully pry it off.
