So I recently purchased this pc about two months and everything was running smoothly until 3 days ago, My games usually run at 120 fps but then it dropped to 30. I haven't installed anything besides steam so I have no clue what the problem is, please help me.

@Jonathanc86 , welcome to the forum.
As long as your FPS stay 30 or above, you will most likely not see any game play degradation. However, I suggest that you update your video card driver: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580
Here is an article that will help you change your Power Options: https://erdentec.com/fix-sudden-fps-drop-in-games/#:~:text=This%20means%20a%20smoother%20and%20bette...
Read the section titled "Fix Sudden FPS Drop in Games". It will tell you how to change your Power Options for gaming.
If you are playing online games you should check your Internet connection. Also, you may want to check in "Settings/Update and Security" section under "View update history" to see if any updates have been automatically installed that could cause the problem. When there is a change this dramatic, all of a sudden, there has to be a reason for it.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.

You mention "games". Name the game that is the most problematic with FPS.
Do you realize that playing a game on the "net' is subject to the bandwidth of the provider site ? The more players the slower the site becomes. Here is an official "steam" comment.

@Jonathanc86, the only other suggestion that I have is, install a third party app to check the temperature of your system. I use Speccy: https://download.cnet.com/Speccy/3000-2094_4-75181811.html
It works great for me. There are simply not that many things that can cause your problem; especially so quickly.
