My friend is trying to sell me a PSU and GPU for $150 CAD. The GPU is the RX 480 (XFX 480 8GB), and the PSU is an "evga 500 80". I'm just wondering if both these would work with my pc. I'm not that great at computers sorry.

HEllo @Axan
The graphics card would work, provided there is enough length to accommodate its size.
The power supply on the other hand will not work. Yours is a uATX or a Micro ATX form factor and if the EVGA is a standard ATX, It would be too big to fit and the screw holes would not line up.
