I am interested in upgrading my PSU and GPU and was wondering if there were any things that I need to be aware of beforehand. I was thinking of ordering a ASUS Tuf Gaming 4080 graphics card. That card would require a 800 watt PSU, though I would probably go with an 850 watt PSU in order to give me more head room.
Has anyone gone down this road before? If so, any helpful tips n tricks?
Thank you.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Whatever graphics card you end up buying, make sure it will fit inside your OMEN by HP 25L case.
For example, the Asus TUF RTX 4080 Gaming card you referenced has a length of 348 mm (13.7 inches), which may not fit if memory serves me right.
I would personally recommend the smaller sized (dual fan) RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, which you can purchase via Amazon, for example: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-RTX-4070-Ti-16G/dp/B0CSG8NYT3/ref=sr_1_1?crid=10LS870JEQL8G&dib=eyJ2IjoiM....
This card comes pretty close to the RTX 4080 graphics performance: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-4080-vs-Nvidia-RTX-4070-TS-Ti-Super/4138vs4155 and is also a much newer designed card than the RTX 4080.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
