Hello,
I have this Hp 600 g1 SFF featuring an i5 4570 and I am planning on swapping the motherboard with an aftermarket one *MSI Z97 Gaming 4*.
I'm in a budget and my question is : Would the hp proprietary heastink work on other non hp motherboards but with the same haswell socket ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I would not do this. You could have more problems when swapping a retail MB in a HP chassis. The HP CPU cooler may work but HP uses many other proprietary components and MB connections. The retail MB form factor may not match a proprietary MB installed in the case.
The retail MB may not work with other stuff. Front panel connectors, USB pinouts, and fan errors.
