HP OMEN 25L GT12-0045na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi this has probably been asked before but I brought a HP OMEN 25L GT12-0045na a few months ago and tbf for what I play its been a pretty decent pc so far but I decided to upgrade the default memory from 16GB to 32GB, I checked the specs and everything on the ram I need which was KINGSTON HYPERX 2666MHZ 8GB MODULES so I brought the exact same ones I installed them to find out they are only running at 2400MHZ I've checked BIOS there's no option to enable XMP PROFILE I downloaded the INTEL XTU to verify it and the default speed on all 4 is 2400MHZ why is this I'm honestly thinking about chopping the PC for a proper gaming PC, is this a common issue I've searched the web but I cant work it out
