Hi.

 

I would like to ask about  RTX 3080 i have to install in my Omen 30L and it is born with a RTX 2080 Super.

Do i have to install anything else than the driver for the RTX 3080??

Hi

The firmware, available here, are those for the graphics cards installed on HP computers!
Although this can work, you have to look to the support of your card, so Asus !

check the model, but for example:

@twins272 , welcome to the Community.

 

Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will tell you what to consider when upgrading the video card.  The two most import items are: 1) length of the card and 2) the power that is required to operate it properly.  Make certain that your PSU has the appropriate supplemental PCIe power connectors.

Ok thanks .

I have it in the pc and it run fine ,had just to install the driver and it is ok .

It is the ASUS Turbo version i have installed and i have 750 watt psu so that is ok i think.

It was more the VBIOS HP has for RTX 3080 and 3090 ,is it only for OEM cards???
