HP Pavilion Gaming TG01-0023w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This computer uses motherboard Erica (B550A) and comes with 1 8gb ram stick. However the stick is incredibly hard to find online right now. It is unavailable on every website. HP tried to charge me +$250  for another stick which is absurd.

I really want to order a kit or a single that can be paired with this 8gb ram stick to get 16gb Ram.

Anybody have some insight on what is compatible for this Desktop?

Hi:

I would google the memory part number from the parts list.

https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=6YR56AA

Found it from this vendor for $80.00   Search some more because I only stopped when I found that link.

It is my understanding the if you install any 8 GB 2666 chip, the whole shebang downclocks to 2400 MHz or less.

Something about not being able to change the XMP profile in the BIOS, which is why you have to use HP memory, or suffer the lower clock speeds.
