OMEN by HP 875-1000 Obelisk Desktop PC (3VH40AV)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have HP Omen Obelisk 875-1000 Desktop PC (which I love!) which we use to run a golf simulator software, unfortunately the requirements for the software is that all the data files/courses are installed on the local system drive (c:) and it's running low on space with all the features enabled.

I'm looking to upgrade to at least 500GB from my current SSD hard drive which was shipped with the product, and would appreciate any recommendations for a new drive and guidance with how to install/update.

Thanks

Matt

Run MSINFO and see what type of M.2 you have

If WD Blue SN550 then get a larger such as SN570 (1tb)

You may have to look up the part for example

Samsung Model MZFLW256HEHP-000MV  is a PM-961 and larger 1tb are much more expensive than newer PM970 or 980

If you get something newer like a gen4 make sure it can be returned as some of the newer M.2 are 4096 bytes per sector and not 512

A gen4 MAY work in your gen3 m.2 socket but will run at gen3 speed if at all.
