My Omen 30L desktop (GT13, motherboard 8876) has known Secure Boot bug. The BIOS will not enroll the Platform Key (PK), leaving Secure Boot permanently disabled in Windows despite turning it on in the Bios settings.
It has the known F.24 firmware bug. The Platform Key is permanently stuck on Not Enrolled, the factory key buttons are permanently grayed out, and the BIOS is write-locked.

Greetings @Taj47
You have two options:
1. Periodically: check this HP Site or HPSA for a BIOS update that supersedes BIOS version F.24. Also do a wild card check, using GT13-1000a, for future BIOS updates.
2. Or follow steps at this *Forum Link *to attempt to fix the F.24 Secure Boot problem.
Note: the above (* Forum Link*) fix has helped many folks in the Forum. However, it is not 100% guaranteed to work in all cases.

Hi @Taj47,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand that your OMEN 30L GT13 with motherboard 8876 is showing the Platform Key (PK) as Not Enrolled, even though Secure Boot is enabled in BIOS, and that the factory key options are grayed out.
Since you’ve identified this as occurring with F.24 firmware, could you please provide:
- The exact OMEN 30L model/product number.
- The current BIOS version shown in BIOS Setup.
- Whether Windows shows Secure Boot State: Off in msinfo32.
- Whether the issue started immediately after updating to F.24 or was present beforehand.
Please do not attempt to modify the Secure Boot keys, BIOS write protection, or firmware manually using unofficial tools.
Once you provide the above details, we can determine what HP-supported options are available for your system.
Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
