Microsoft Windows 11

When I launch a sound, for example some music via the media player, a movie via VLC player or whatever sound in fact, the sound starts mute and takes up to 3 seconds before being audible. That's very annoying when I try to follow a video formation for example because each time I pause and resume it, I miss although 3 seconds of it.
I removed the Nvidia audio drivers, deactivated any effect in the the audio settings and reinstalled HP's realtek driver but the problem is still here.

I am under Windows 11 and have my speakers just plugged to the motherboard's audio jack (no HDMI). Any other idea to solve that sound latency ?

Ok, it seems lowering the frequency output to 16 bits 48000 Hz (DVD quality) solved the problem.

That's more than enough. No need for the overkill default 24 bits output setting of Windows 11.

Mmh, no. It worked for a while but after plugging my headphones the problem went back.
That's despairing. I don't know witch one is faulty, the driver or Windows. Sometimes that works but most of the time that doesn't. The driver is up to date so that may be some Windows issue.

No way I can redo a fresh install of Windows with all the stuff that is already installed (and I use my pc for my work not for gaming). And that certainly wouldn't change anything as the problem was already there straight out of the box.
