Hello @grigtar

Its helpful to include what the full model number (Product Number) is when asking for help.

I assume this must be for something like the Pavilion 690 series?

Typically its safe to disable all those items listed, with the exception of disabling Defender notices.

In my setup, I disabled all but the Windows Defender notices. I want to get notified if it has an issue.

Its one of those things that if you disable something and it caused that object to not work when you needed it, you simply re-enable it.

My computer is HP Pavilion 690-0000nj.

1,You do not recommend disabling antivirus from startup.

2.I have in tab Startup :
BTServer

McAfee Security Starttup
Windows Defender notification icon
Windows Defender notification icon

2.Сan I safely remove all programs from startup ( BTServer,   HP Lighting Bar Control,  HP Message Service,  Realtek WOWL Utility,  McAfee Security Starttup,  Windows Defender notification icon )?

3.,What background applications can I disable?

4.When buying a computer was installed antivirus McAfe Security Startup,

I want to use only antivirus Windows Defender.
How can I completely remove the McAfe Security Startup antivirus without a trace?

Again... its safe to disable all those items listed, with the exception of disabling Windows Defender notices.

You don't remove them in the Startup Tab of the Task Manager. You simply Enable or Disable them.

You highlight a service and click the Disable button in the bottom right corner of the window.

Then reboot the PC

3.,What background applications can I disable?

Answered above.

If you have McAfee installed...

McAfee makes a removal tool. Here is a link to McAfee's instructions on how to obtain the tool and use it in Step 2: Download and run the McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool (MCPR) instructions...

There might be some trace file or folders left over, even if you run the removal tool. You would have to search for them and delete them if you want them gone.
