I'm trying to update my bios since it's been over 2 years since I've had my computer. But when I tried to update the latest bios update, it keeps saying "The BIOS you are installing is older than the current version in the system and cannot be executed. Can someone please help me? My PC is OMEN 30L Desktop GT13-1xxx

Welcome back.

 

Please provide a specific HP Product number to assist in locating the most recent BIOS update for your PC's MB.

 

It is best to do a manual BIOS update by downloading the update files from HP and running the executable.

 

I would not use HP Support Assistant or Windows Update to update your PC's firmware.
