Anyone able to explain why it’s not letting me do these updates?

Hi

 

I don't know what is happening. Are they optional updates? Is your PC working okay?

 

There have been some faulty HP firmware updates coming from Microsoft. The updates can cause system instability.

 

You might want to ignore those updates.

 

It is safer to check the OEM (HP in your situation) site using your specific product number https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-45l-desktop-pc-gt22-1000i/2100404772/model/2100404775/docu...  for firmware and driver updates.

 

Open an elevated command prompt. Run the following command to see if your PC can communicate with the Windows Update servers:

 

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

 

A fail to complete this command means you have a Windows Update problem.

im getting error 740 will this be the reason why my corsair icue keeps crashing everything else seems to be fine and checked / done test on my pc and says everything is fine?

hi

There was a change in the microsoft updates, I think it comes from that
I noticed the same problem!
Most of these updates will not be available from the hp product page
Only just like me see 2018 dates mostly
And from what I had found, the error code windows update, can mean that the update is already done
I tried the [ retry ] option for the first time, and left!
when I restarted the computer today eighth, checked for updates again, it disappeared

I advise you to open another thread describing the problem with corsair ICue
It has nothing to do with the windows update problem here.
