The NVIDIA GTX 1050 TI should work.

Hi Yorick

It would be best if you provide the HP model of your PC. We can check the BIOS version and the included power supply for your model.

Your motherboard is used in quite a few different models.

It looks like many shipped with Windows 8.1. This means you have a UEFI BIOS which is needed to run a GTX 1050 Ti.

Then measure available room along the PCIe x16 3.0 slot to verify the 1050 will fit in your chassis after we verify you have the correct power supply and UEFI BIOS required to run this graphics card.

Hi,

Open up a command prompt (admin) and enter: MSINFO32

What is the BIOS level in your PC?

Please post the HP product number for your PC. How to Find the HP Model Number and the HP Product Number or let HP automatically find your PC model number and HP network attached printers. This will allow others to review your issue, make suggestions and review your responses. This is usually the best way to get assistance.

The NVIDIA GTX 1050TI should work(depending on model) with your PC if your PC is running a version 8 or higher BIOS level. If your PC only has a 300 watt PSU then look for a 1050TI that doesn't require the auxiliary 6 pin power connector and that the particular make and model will fit inside.
