@asemo1 , welcome to the Community.

Here are the "Product Specifications" and "Motherboard Specifications" for your computer.  Look at the sections titled "Processor upgrade information" and "Memory upgrade information".  These sections will tell you the compatibility of the processors and memory.  The processors listed have been fully tested to assure they are compatible with your motherboard.  Any other processors will most likely not work.  The maximum memory is 32 GB.

The first thing that you have to determine is the wattage of the power supply unit (PSU).  You will require a PSU with at least 600W to upgrade to most newer cards.  Here is a HP Knowledge Base article that will explain what to consider when adding or upgrading a video card.  The motherboard has "One PCI Express Gen 3.0 x16" slot for a video card.

Please click the "Yes" button if my reply was helpful and "Accept as Solution" if your problem is Solved!!

Thank you for the additional information, @asemo1!

Yes, it should work fine with your motherboard.  However, it does require a PSU with at least 500W.
