Want to upgrade my desktop

        I'm looking to ugprade the desktop I got for Christmas a couple of years ago. So far, I haven't changed anything in the PC. I am curious as to what parts of the PC I can keep. I don't know too much about PC's, but I do know to increase performance I would need a new GPU and a PSU for the GPU. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if I just change those two things, I could run games with much higher FPS depending on how much I'm willing to spend on each part. I am looking to replace as few things as possible, and if I can, I want to only replace those two things (PSU, GPU) So I am wondering if everything else in the PC I have could stay, and I could just replace those two things. I know I would have to get a new case for the PC to fit the GPU. The GPU I am looking to buy is a GeForce GTX 1060. If I need anything else, what parts would you recommend I get? And what PSU should I get for the GPU?

Here is a great small, but powerful, video card that will work nicely in your case.  It requires a minimum of 400W and a 6-pin power connector to operate properly.  Read the "Specifications" tab in the link for more information.  As you can see, it has a 5 egg rating with 244 views.  I have recommended this card to many members with a positive outcome.

You will need to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU), as you stated.  I like Corsair products.  Here is a very good PSU that should work in your case.  You should measure the existing PSU and compare the measurements to the one in my link.  It is fully modular so you only have to use the cables that are absolutely necessary.

You already have a good start on speed with the SSD in your computer.
