Greetings @fabzs
This error message can happen if the hidden Windows EFI System Partition is running out of free space.
HP BIOS updates use this partition as a scratch space to install the BIOS update. And the latest BIOS: .bin and .sig files are stored in this partition.
You may have to expand the EFI System Partition. Then the HP BIOS update should install correctly.
This Site provides detailed instructions on increasing the EFI system partition size using Aomei Partition Assistant free.
Make sure to back up system drive data before using Aomei Partition Assistant free.
You can also use an alternative method to update the BIOS outside of Windows. A HP bootable USB BIOS Recovery drive option is available.
Let me know if you want to skip Aomei.
But you should deal with the low free space EFI System Partition issue to avoid future problems.
