Product: 690-0013w
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

im looking to upgrade my cpu to best possible in my 690-0013w gaming desktop. it says ryzen 7 2700 is best I can do. can I upgrade to the predecessor 3700 or 3700x without issues?

@bktaylor74 , welcome back to the forum.

 

The list of processors in the "Processor upgrade information" section have all been fully tested to assure they are compatible with the motherboard.  HP has their motherboards made to their specifications.  So, they are not necessarily the same as a retail board.  For this reason, any processor not on the list will most likely NOT work.
