Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Downloaded bios update SP79540  F.01Ap1 and when restarts, system says update failed.

Current bios in System information shows bios  AMI  F.01 10/6/2016.

 

Maybe already has this version? Any help provided would be appreciated.

I understand you have issues updating BIOS on your PC.

 

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

 

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

 

As you mentioned when you try to update the BIOS the update fails.

 

I have checked the records and I don't see any new version of BIOS released for your PC.

 

The version of BIOS available for your PC is  F.01 which your PC is already running on.

 

Since you are overwriting the BIOS you are getting the error on your PC.

 

However, you can try rolling back the BIOS and try updating the BIOS again and check if it helps.

 

Refer this article to know how to roll back BIOS on your PC.

I rolled it back as you discussed, and since you mentioned there was no update for my bios I will hold off re-initiating the bios update and leave well enough alone.
