Hi @charan1203,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Certainly! To troubleshoot the issue with the cooling fan in your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop, follow these steps.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure your laptop is powered off and unplugged from any power source.
  • Locate the cooling fan(s) in your laptop. They are typically found underneath or on the sides.
  • Check the connection of the fan to the motherboard. Sometimes, dust or debris might interfere with the connection. Gently clean the area around the connection if needed.
  • If the fan connection seems loose, carefully reseat it to ensure a secure connection.

Power On Test:

  • After checking the connection, power on your laptop and observe if the fan starts spinning.
  • If the fan does not start spinning during boot-up or while the laptop is running tasks that generate heat, it's likely that the fan has failed.

Software Check:

  • Sometimes, software issues can cause the fan not to function properly. Ensure that your laptop's BIOS and system drivers are up to date.
  • Check the fan settings in your laptop's BIOS or through any installed utility software to ensure they are configured correctly.

Physical Inspection:

  • If the fan doesn't spin and there are no obvious connection issues, you may need to physically inspect the fan for any signs of damage, such as broken blades or a burnt motor.

By following these steps, you should be able to determine whether the cooling fan issue is due to a connection problem or a faulty fan, and take appropriate action accordingly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
