I want to upgrade my HP Pavilion Desktop 590 something it currently has a 1050 ti inside and lincs mb. but I want to upgrade to something like a 3060. would the L05757-800 500w be compatible with this mb or do i need to scrap the whole mb and go b550 or something?

@Dank-_-Dave,

All right, if I needed an HP L05757-800 unit right now, I would purchase it from this reliable "Top Rated Plus" eBay Seller: New Power Supply PSU 500W For HP ENVY Desktop 795-0003UR L05757-800 US | eBay.

@Dank-_-Dave,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

You are correct: an HP Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B) is compatible with the 500-watt power PSU p/n: L05757-800:

it looks like with my case the exhaust on that psu will be where the current power plug is. do you know if it will fit properly or will i have to modify the case a bit?

@Dank-_-Dave,

Should fit properly without modification.  To make sure, you mentioned that you got an "HP Pavilion Desktop 590 something" -please provide the exact model number -or, come to think of it, if you could take & share a picture of your desktop's back side, that would be helpful.

i  found out that it does fit but some of the exhaust will be blocked. I found a video of someone doing it with the exact same one. its not a big deal to me I plan on taking some tin snips and just making it a bit larger to ensure the exhaust vents properly. I believe my desktop is a 590-p0066 with the older reversed layout with the exhaust on the mb side and the power input is on the side of the panel. do you have any reliable sites for buying a L05757-800 as the hp parts store does not sell these?
