Hi @Mark-the-shark,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’ve noticed three small white dots on your Victus by HP 16-d1 laptop screen that are only visible against a black background. You’ve confirmed there’s no physical damage, the laptop is fully updated (including RTX 3060 drivers), and you’ve even attempted a dead pixel fix without success.

Here’s what you can try:

Check with Built-in Diagnostics

Restart your laptop and press Esc → F2 to enter the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics.

Run the Display Test to confirm whether the dots show up during the test.

If they appear, it’s likely a hardware (pixel/LED) issue.

External Monitor Test

Connect your laptop to an external display.

If the white dots do not appear on the external screen, this confirms the issue is isolated to your laptop’s display panel.

Pixel Fix Attempt

While you’ve already tried a pixel fixer, sometimes applying gentle pressure with a soft cloth on the affected area while running a pixel cycling video for several minutes can help revive stuck pixels (avoid pressing too hard).

Update BIOS & Graphics Drivers

Even though you’ve updated your RTX drivers, also check HP Support for any pending BIOS or display firmware updates for your exact model.

I hope this helps.
