Hello, I want to buy a true 7.1 headphones Razer Tiamat 7.1 and I want to know if this laptop have a 7.1 sound card of if I have to buy external one.

We cant help you if you don't tell use which laptop you have. Tell us the Product number.

Open the HP Support Assistant and it will have the Product number.

Thanks. Looking up the specs, I cannot find any information about 7.1 surround sound on those machines. So I have to assume it does not contain it. If it did, HP would be posting that info.

Ok, thank you. So in that way is it worth to buy true 7.1 headphones for 250€? Should I buy them with external 7.1 output? Or should Ibuy 100€ ones that only simulates 7.1 sound?

I am not an audiophile so anything I suggest is only from what I have read. My understanding is that using a USB DAC paired with a good surround headphone works best.

 

BUT I would really ask this on an Audiophile forum like
