What is your HP Pavilion 15.6 inch Gaming Laptop PC 15-ec2000 (2P6B3AV) machine ? I believe it has M.2 storage now. Yes, you can add Crucial 2.5" SSD drive to your machine.
I dónt think it has cable to connect. You may need Hard drive connector/cable part # L72698-001. You can buy it on internet for around $25.
