Hello, I have two questions. First, I would like to know which version is the best for my notebook. In the beginning, it was bought with F.20, but it seems that F.21 is newer or maybe you could recommend something better?
The second question is how to change the keyboard backlight timeout, it drives me crazy that it turns off after few seconds....

Hi@Lepsionidas
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
If your notebook computer has a backlit keyboard, press the F5 or F4 (some models) key on the keyboard to turn the light on or off. It might be necessary to press the fn (function) key at the same time.
If the backlight icon is not on the F5 key, look for the backlit keyboard key on the row of function keys.
To adjust the brightness of the backlight, press the key with the backlight icon two or three times in a row. The keyboard backlight dims and brightens. It might be necessary to press the fn (function) key at the same time to activate the backlight key.
If the backlight stays on/off for only a few seconds, the backlight timeout setting might need configuring in the BIOS.
-
Restart the notebook, and then immediately press the F10 repeatedly until the BIOS opens.
-
When the BIOS opens, use the arrow keys to navigate to the Advanced tab.
-
Navigate to Built-in Device Options, and then press Enter.
-
In the Built-in Device Options, select Backlit keyboard timeout.
-
Press the spacebar to open the keyboard backlight settings, and then select the timeout setting you to want.
NOTE: If you select Never, the backlight remains on which could quickly drain the notebook battery power.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I don't have the advanced tab in my BIOS, that is why I asked about the BIOS version. Maybe BIOS upgrade may solve the problem. My current version of BIOS is Insyde F.20 and it is the BIOS version that was installed by the manufacturer.

I see that you really don't even read what is the issue. I have the newest version of Insyde F.20 I will try once again...
1) What is the newest version BIOS of the HP Notebook Pavilion 15-Dk1? Is it F.20?
2) Is the advanced tab available on that bios version or BIOS should be changed to any other version?
3) If not, is it possible to change backlight turnoff time to never in any other way?
